Nelson is the owner of the Chick-Fil-A restaurant franchise at Bridgewater Falls in Fairfield Twp., according to MetroParks.
He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in finance and also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary, according to the parks system.
Prior to becoming a franchise owner, he served as a Controller/CFO for Honeymoon Paper Products, Inc. and Affiliate Controller of Union Central Life Insurance Company.
Additionally, the Hanover Twp. resident is the owner of Nelson Farms, where he raises Lowline Angus Beef Cattle.

He and his wife have also served as foster and adoptive parents through Butler County Children Services since 2006, according to MetroParks.
Other MetroParks board members are Board President, Gregory T. Amend, of Liberty Twp., and Cynamon Trokhan, of Hamilton.
Nelson’s term of office will run through Dec. 31, 2019.
