Cinder block used in attempted break-in of Kettering cellphone store

A cinder block was used to break the front glass door of a Cricket wireless store in an attempted breaking and entering in Kettering, according to initial reports.

The incident reportedly occurred sometime late Sunday or into the early morning hours of Monday at 2707 Wilmington Pike.

The suspect was not able to make entry into the store, so no items were taken.

At this time there is no suspect description as Kettering police continue to investigate the incident.

Two other cellphone stores, another in Kettering and one in Xenia, were broken into this past Friday where a brick was used to knock out the front window of the Xenia store.

No word on if these incidents are related.
