Developer Oberer Realty Services said today the Cheddar’s officials closed on a four-acre parcel.
The City of Centerville approved plans for a 8,640-square-foot, free-standing building that will seat 356 inside and seat about 40 on the patio. The restaurant plans to begin construction as soon as permits are secured, with an intent to open in May 2016, according to an Oberer release.
Cheddar’s operates 40 restaurants in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina and Ohio, including locations in Northgate in Cincinnati, as well as locations near Findlay and Mansfield. The casual restaurant serves an American cuisine with dishes like “Key West Chicken & Shrimp” and “Fork Tender Baby Back Ribs.”
“We are really excited that Cheddar’s chose Cornerstone for their location in our area,” said Chris Conley, president of Oberer Realty Services. “It speaks to the regional draw of the development which continues to attract new and expanding retailers and restaurants to our site.”
