A child was shot by another child with a BB gun Friday and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, police said.
Officers received a report of the shooting a day after the incident in the 200 block of South Main Street, according to a Centerville police report. The shooting reportedly happened around 11 p.m.
Officers said a 9-year-old shot a 10-year-old. The 10-year-old’s injuries were not considered life threatening, police said.
Police described the two juveniles as friends.
Officers are working to determine whether the children had any adult supervision at the time of the incident, investigators said.
No charges have been filed at this time, police said.
