75-year-old man missing from Clark County returns home

Marvin Shoemaker has returned home safely and the alert has been canceled, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.


A 75-year-old Bethel Twp. man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease has been missing for hours.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to find Marvin Shoemaker.

He was last seen around 5 p.m. driving from his home on Wellington Avenue in Bethel Twp.

His car is a maroon 2008 Chevrolet HHR, Ohio plate PHM4399.

He is 5 feet 9 inches, 180 pounds with brown eyes and balding gray hair.

He was last seen wearing black jeans, a gray sweatshirt, baseball cap and brown gym shoes.

He suffers from Alzheimer’s and high blood pressure, and did not take medication with him.

It is possible he was headed to Medway, Fairborn or Huber Heights.

Anyone with information or who has contact or spots Shoemaker is urged to call 911 or the Clark County Sheriff’s Office at 937-328-2560.
