Clayton open house features police dogs, SWAT team and fire trucks

The city of Clayton will host a Community Open House on Tuesday. This is an annual event that is free to everyone.

The open house will showcase Clayton’s fire, police and service department’s employees and equipment. Staff will be there to answer questions, kids can climb into city vehicles and there will be various activities.

“The open house is another opportunity for our residents to interact with city staff and learn why Clayton continues to be the safest city as well as the best city to raise a family in Montgomery County,” said Director of Development Jack Kuntz.

There will be hot dogs, gift bags, wrist bands, coloring books, dunk tank, inflatable bounce castle, pony castle and face painting. The open house will feature Dayton Bomb Squad Officer and K-9 Zita, plus police dogs from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and from other areas, along with Dayton Airport Police, Dayton SWAT and an armored vehicle.

The open house will be held Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 6996 Taywood Road.

Visit the city's website for a full list of activities and guests at the open house or contact Kuntz at 937-836-3500.
