Company donates safety equipment

Sugar Creek Packing has donated a John Deere Gator ATV to the region’s hazardous materials response team and a confined space communications system to the Dayton Fire Department’s Rescue 1.

The Hazmat and rescue teams have trained at Sugar Creek Packing’s facilities for years.

The communications system ensures that rescuers working in tunnels, silos, sewers or other restricted spaces have reliable, hands-free communication with colleagues. JEREMY P. KELLEY
