Construction watch: State Route 48 lanes to close through Centerville

Be careful of a couple of road construction hot spots this week, including State Route 48 through Centerville, where lanes are closing for a water main replacement, and Interstate 70 near Airport Access Road where narrow lanes are making a project there tricky to navigate. Otherwise, here are the closures for the week of July 27.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

• SR 48 between Dog Leg Road and I-70, lane closures through July 28. One lane will remain open in each direction.

• Wilmington Pike between East Whipp Drive and Clyo Road, lane closures through Oct. 15. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

• U.S. 35 westbound ramp to I-75 southbound, nightly ramp closures through Aug. 1 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The official detour is:I-75 north to Main Street to I-75 south

• I-75 north and south between Main Street and Edwin C. Moses Boulevard, nightly lane closures through Aug. 1 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

CLARK COUNTY

• US 40 between SR 4 and New Carlisle Pike, road closed through Aug. 10. The official detour is: SR 369 to SR 4 to U.S. 40.

• I-70 east and west between SR 4 and U.S. 68, nightly lane closures through July 31 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. These will become double lane closures between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

• I-70 between Enon Road and U.S. 68, lane addition project. Two lanes are open in each direction. In some areas, three lanes are open in each direction. The amount of available lanes could change depending on work being done on the project.

DARKE COUNTY

• SR 503 between SR 722 and Darke-Preble County Line Road, road closed through July 31. The official detour is: SR 722 to U.S. 127 to U.S. 40.

MIAMI COUNTY

• I-75 north and south between Fair Road and U.S. 36, Nightly lane closures through July 31 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

• U.S. 36 between Casstown Fletcher and Troy Road, lane closures through Oct. 15 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction through the use of flaggers.

• SR 589 between SR 55 and U.S. 36, various lane closures through Oct. 15 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction through the use of flaggers.

• SR 41 between SR 201 and Hufford Road, road closed through Sept. 5. The official detour is: Westbound- SR 201 to SR 55 to SR 202 to SR 41. Eastbound- SR 202 to SR 55 to SR 201 to SR 41.

• I-75 south ramp to CR 25A near Troy will be closed through Sept. 4. The official detour is: I-75 south to SR 41 to I-75 north to CR 25A.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

• SR 29 between East Greenville Road and Plattner Road, road closed through Oct. 15. The official detour is: SR 29 to SR 274 to SR 66.

• SR 219 between East Shelby Road and SR 29, road closed through Sept. 30. The official detour is: SR 29 to SR 274 to SR 66.
