Few if any of the protesters wore protective masks during the early portion of the protest, which began at 1 p.m. Saturday.
They claim DeWine and other state and local officials’ orders are overly restrictive and infringe on their constitutional rights and individual liberties.
Backed by organizers for the Free Ohio Now, the group said it helped coordinate similar protests in many of Ohio’s other counties.
Protesters also spoke about their support of Senate Bill 1, aimed at limiting the authority of the Ohio Department of Health director. DeWine has pledged to veto the bill if it reaches his desk.
