Ohio saw 1,525 cases reported in the last 24 hours. On average, the state is seeing 911 new cases reported each day.

The Ohio Department of Health is reporting 8,701 hospitalizations and 2,161 ICU admissions.

On Thursday, Gov. Mike DeWine announced that 12 counties, including Butler and Montgomery, were at Level 3, or red alert. Three of those counties, Butler, Hamilton and Cuyahoga, were at risk of moving up to Level 4, the most severe level.

Counties that are at Level 3 or 4 are under a public health order that requires masks to be worn while inside non-residential buildings and outside areas where social distancing isn’t possible.

Both Montgomery and Butler counties were classified as Level 3 last week and had a mask order go into effect Wednesday evening.
