“There may have been students and staff members who could have had a possible exposure,” stated the letter, which also was posted to the district’s Facebook page.
The district posted a second update on social media that administrators are unable to provide information that would identify the school employee and has no way of knowing all who may have been exposed.
There are 169 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ohio, as of Friday, including 12 in Butler County and one death in Lucas County, the Ohio Department of Health reported.
Fairfield City Schools asks that parents and staff members check for the following symptoms through March 27: fever above 100.4 degrees, cough and difficulty breathing.

Health experts have said that most people who get sick will only suffer mild symptoms and will be fine to recover at home. Anyone who is concerned should call their doctor for advice. Coronavirus tests are only administered with a physician’s order, and to those considered to have a severe illness.
