Coronavirus: Miamisburg pushes income tax filing deadline to July 15

The City of Miamisburg pushed back to July 15 its deadline for filing 2019 income tax returns and paying any tax due to remain consistent with the recently announced federal filing date.

The city continues to provide essential services and make new staffing and operational adjustments in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to what has been announced already:

-- City departments are moving toward limited staff hours, including rotating shifts and staff working remotely from home. You should continue to use only telephone and email to contact departments.

-- Miamisburg Police Department will have all sworn personnel on duty as usual.

-- Miamisburg Municipal Court remains open. If you are scheduled to appear in court, call (937) 866-2203 in advance.

-- The City Council has canceled its April 7 meeting.

-- The city planning commission has canceled its April 6 meeting.

-- The city has temporarily suspended water shut-offs and interest penalties for late payments of utility bills.

-- The City, beginning today, will no longer accept new building permit applications for elective, residential projects until the governor’s stay-at-home order is lifted. Residential permits and inspections for emergency repairs such as electric, plumbing and HVAC will continue. All commercial permits and inspections will continue as usual.

-- Play at PipeStone Golf Course is available but the clubhouse is closed. Carts are not in use. Payment and tee times must be made online at pipestonegolf.com. Season passholders must register a tee time.

-- Other recreation facilities and neighborhood playgrounds are now closed. Facilities will remain closed and programs and events canceled at least through April 6. This includes activities related to the Miamisburg Baseball/Softball League.

-- The annual Spring Fest in the Burg event in May has been canceled.
