Coronavirus: Parents put on scavenger hunt for kids stuck at home

Kids across the state are home from school and parents are getting creative for educational activities for their children.

News Center 7’s spoke to families in Springboro about their plan to get kids outside and active.

"I think it’s very important for the kids to keep their minds active and to be doing something,” said Laura Windholtz. “Outside exercise is just as important."

Children in this Springboro neighborhood are making crafts and then traveling around to see how many matching symbols they can find.

“It’s every three days,” explained Windholtz. “There’s animals, encouraging words, flowers, jokes, easter eggs: gets the kids involved, like in a craft.”

The parents hope their scavengers can spread to other neighborhoods so all kids can stay active and have fun.
