Coronavirus: 1 person in Ohio being monitored by ODH for virus

One person is being monitored in Ohio for coronavirus, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

The person has shown symptoms of respiratory illness and has either traveled to China or been in close contact with a person with coronavirus within 14 days of symptoms starting, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

Another 212 have been or are under public health supervision. Travelers under the public health supervision are not showing symptoms of coronavirus.

As of now, there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ohio. Six people in Ohio have previously tested negative.

There are 53 confirmed cases in the U.S., including 36 who were on the Diamond Princess cruise ship.

The Ohio Department of Health is not disclosing where in Ohio the person is being monitored.
