Coronavirus: Church organizes prayer vigils, drop off dinners for health care workers

One church held prayer vigils for health care workers Monday evening in the parking lots of hospitals in Centerville and Miamisburg as medical professionals continue battle the coronavirus pandemic.

Participants were asked to stay in their cars to pray or to stand outside, maintaining social distance of six feet from others.

Organized by SouthBrook Christian Church, the vigils were meant honor those in the medical field as they put themselves at risk while keeping their communities healthy.

Church members also dropped off dinners for employees.

The vigils were held at 4:45 p.m. at Southview Medical Center, 1997 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Centerville, and at 5:45 p.m. at Sycamore Medical Center, 4000 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Miamisburg.

SouthBrook also welcomed people at home to join them in prayer.
