To reduce the spread of the virus, the facility has implemented following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services:

  • Enhanced infection control precautions, including wearing personal protective equipment when caring for residents, increasing the availability of hand sanitizer and more frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces.
  • Screening residents, staff and anyone else entering the facility for coronavirus symptoms. Only staff and volunteers who must enter the building are permitted to enter.
  • Restricting visitations except for certain situations, including end of life.
  • Testing staff and residents for coronavirus based on the facility's current protocol.
  • Providing face masks for all staff to wear.
  • Postponing group activities and helping residents practice social distancing.
