Crash closes I-70 West in Preble County; 1 flown from scene

Interstate 70 West is back open in Preble County following a two-vehicle crash near the Indiana border.

The highway reopened shortly before 8 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Dayton Post, which did not have further information on the crash that sent one person to an area hospital by medical helicopter.

I-70 West in Preble County is closed after a two-vehicle crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Crews responded around 5:30 p.m. to mile marker five on I-70 West.

One person has been taken to the hospital by MedFlight, and two other occupants sustained minor injuries, dispatchers said. One of the three occupants also were trapped.

Crews are currently on scene investigating the crash.

The cause and conditions of the occupants are unknown.
