Small Hunter Avenue house fire accidental in nature, Dayton fire captain says

UPDATE @ 11:53 a.m.: The cause of the Hunter Avenue house fire is under investigation and is being called accidental in nature, Dayton Fire Capt. Mike Fasnacht said.

A neighbor spotted light smoke coming from the house and called 9-1-1, the captain said.

Crews found a small fire on the first floor in the living room, he said. No one was home at the time of the fire.

Crews were able to quickly put out the fire, which caused minimal damage to the structure and contents.

INITIAL REPORT

Firefighters have responded to reports of a house fire on Hunter Avenue in Dayton Tuesday morning.

Crews were dispatched around 10:50 a.m. to the 1100 block of Hunter Avenue and reported a fire on the first floor of the structure.

There have been no immediate reports of injuries.
