UPDATE @ 5:45 a.m: A woman went door-to-door in Dayton before receiving help on Weaver Street after being shot early Wednesday.

Crews responded to the 1400 block around 4 a.m. after a homeowner called 911 and said a woman ringing her doorbell was suffering from gunshot wounds.

“She’s losing a lot of blood. She needs an ambulance”, the woman told dispatchers.

The caller also said the woman had been shot in the leg and hand.

Officials say the woman was outside her car on South Euclid Avenue talking to another individual when she heard at least 10 gunshots. Once she realized she had been shot, she sought help by ringing doorbells at nearby houses and ended up at a residence on Weaver Street.

The woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim told authorities she did not see who shot her.

If anyone knows any information related to the shooting or a possible suspect, they are urged to contact Dayton police.

The female victim was transported on unknown conditions.

It is not immediately known where she was shot or if officials have any suspects.

Investigators are also on scene at an address on South Euclid Avenue, which is near Weaver Street, after responding to a reported assault around the time the shooting occurred. It not confirmed if the two incidents are connected.
