Day to Dream event grants children new beds

50 children have a new place to sleep after the fourth annual Day to Dream event, hosted by Morris Furniture Company, United Way of the Greater Dayton Area and Secret Smiles of Dayton.

The children, who are pre-selected, arrived at the University of Dayton at 9:15 a.m. to receive breakfast and participate in various activities. Their beds were revealed at 10:30 a.m.

Each child received a bed frame, mattress and box spring, sheet set, comforter, blanket and pillow.

“We are very proud of our relationship with Secret Smiles and the incredible work this 100% volunteer agency does for families in need in our community,” said Larry Klaben, Morris Furniture Company president/CEO.
