Last month, 60-year-old Maurice Brown was killed by a pit bull in the 300 block of Middle Street. So far, police said no one has come forward as the caretaker of the suspect dog.
After a law that would have strengthened state law regarding dangerous dogs failed to pass the Ohio House last year, state Sen. Bill Beagle, R-Tipp City, said he vows to reintroduce a revised version of the bill.

On Sunday, a man was charged with failing to control his dog after police said it bit a 7-year-old boy on South Smithville Road.
