“We have been watching the numbers since March and paying close attention to the information coming from local, state and health officials, and have come to the determination that it is not in the best interest of anyone to host our 14th Dayton Concours on September 20, 2020” said Skip Peterson, the Concours Chairman, in a release.
“We have been making plans and contingencies, but in the end, it’s just not a good idea. We want to thank all of our previous entrants, guests, and sponsors for their support over the past 13 years and we look forward to welcoming them back to the Concours on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021.”
Each year hundreds of classic and antique automobiles and motorcycles are displayed at the event. This year the “Roaring Twenties” and Mercedes-Benz automobiles were to be showcased.
Last year the Concours attracted a record number of entrants and more than 5,000 people attended.
The funds raised help Dayton History and Carillon Historical Park share the Dayton region's unique stories and preserve over 45 historic buildings and three million community artifacts.
