Dayton fire crews rescue puppies from vent ducts

Members of Engine 17, Dayton Fire Department, rescued two puppies that found themselves trapped in ventilation ducts at a house in the 400 block of Burleigh Avenue.

The call came in about 4:30 p.m., police Lt. Wendy Stiver said.

The adventures of Roscoe and Frankie began on the second floor of the home. Roscoe fell to the basement, while Frankie ended up close to the front door area, Stiver said.

Both pups are said to be doing well.
