A Fairborn man arrested in Troy minutes after a carjacking Saturday morning in Piqua is charged with robbery and driving without a license.

Brian Grissom, 33, is accused of stealing the car in the 800 block of South Downing Street in Piqua.

The owner left the car running to warm up with his son inside. Grissom allegedly dragged the boy from the car, then jumped into the Honda before speeding away.

A Troy police officer spotted the car minutes later on Interstate 75 at state Route 41, and was able to pull it over and place Grissom under arrest without incident.

Grissom appeared in Miami County Municipal Court for a video arraignment from the Miami County Jail.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges, and Judge Samuel Huffman set a cash bond of $25,000.
