Dayton man indicted on rape, kidnapping charges

UPDATE @ 3:30 p.m. (Aug 13): 

A Dayton man arrested on multiple charges, including rape and kidnapping, was indicted Monday by a Montgomery County grand jury.

Martin Howard Ross, 33, was indicted on charges of aggravated burglary, kidnapping, and rape, according to a grand jury report.

The alleged incident happened on Fotip Lane in Dayton Aug. 2, and involved an 11-year-old victim.

Ross’ will be arraigned in court Thursday, records show.

He remains booked in the Montgomery County Jail.

FIRST REPORT (Aug. 7):

A 33-year-old Dayton man is facing multiple charges, including rape, after an Aug. 2 incident, according to Dayton Municipal Court documents.

Martin Howard Ross was charged with one count each of rape (under 13), rape (by force or threat of force) and aggravated burglary (physical harm).

The incident occurred at a Fotip Lane residence, according to court documents, and involved an 11-year-old victim.

Ross is being held at the Montgomery County Jail. Bail was set at $150,000.

A preliminary hearing for Ross is scheduled for Aug. 13, read court documents.
