The Gem City will be in the national limelight later this year, when it hosts the 2016 Presidential Debate at Wright State University in September.

But Dayton already received a shoutout during the opening scenes of Netflix's insanely popular original series "House of Cards," starring Kevin Spacey, who plays President Frank Underwood.

The front page of the fictional "Dayton Times" shows Democratic candidate Heather Dunbar (played by Elizabeth Marvel) will be making a stop in Cincinnati, and other areas around Hamilton County.

The paper also shows an article of Underwood (Spacey) making a stop through his home state of South Carolina.
