Tristen Carlson was an active duty senior airman E4 of the 341st security forces squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base at the time of his death.
Police responded to a report that someone had been shot around 2:30 a.m. at 14th Avenue South on Sunday in Great Falls, Montana.
Carlson will be transported from Cincinnati for the viewing in Sidney at the First Church of the Nazarene from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday.
His funeral is the following Saturday at 11 a.m.
Carlson's death is currently under investigation by Great Falls Police.
