A local business and Fairborn police are working to help families in need for the holidays.
Deer Heating & Cooling gave away about 350 hams and bags of potatoes to families Friday morning.

“Well they really enjoy it. You get to see a lot of people come through that really appreciate it. It kind of shows it’s not just all about work. It’s about enjoying the reason for the season,” said Mike Hall, owner of Deer Heating & Cooling.
The business also donated to the police department’s Adopt-A-Family program.
The department then spent the day delivering food and toys to families in the community.
