Deputies investigating body found in vehicle on Upper Valley Pike in Greene County

Greene County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a body was found in a vehicle on Upper Valley Pike near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on Memorial Day morning.

It is not clear if the incident is suspicious, accidental or natural at this time, said Greene County 911 dispatchers.

The Greene County Coroner is on the scene.

The incident was reported shortly before 9 a.m. Monday in the 4600 block of Upper Valley Pike.

Initial scanner traffic indicated dispatch received a call from someone who noticed the vehicle hadn’t moved in 24 hours and that there was a smell coming from a cracked window.

Upper Valley Pike is closed in that area as deputies continue the death investigation.
