Crews have rescued a driver who was trapped in a car after slamming into a pole on Leo Street in Dayton.

The driver, who was not identified, has been transported to an area hospital with injuries described as “serious to life-threatening” according to a Dayton Fire Department official.

A driver is reportedly trapped after crashing into a pole on Leo Street in Dayton Monday morning, according to initial reports.
The crash was reported around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Leo and Webster streets.

Reports indicate the car slammed into the pole on the driver’s side, pinning the driver in the vehicle.
The condition of the driver was not immediately known.
