Mike Hansen of the Ohio Seismic Network says the quake with an estimated 2.7 magnitude happened around 11:35 a.m. Sunday in Medina County, southwest of Cleveland. It lasted only a few seconds, but some residents reported they heard a boom or felt shaking, as though an explosion had occurred.
Hansen says it's the type of earthquake people might feel, but it's not likely to cause damage.
No serious injuries were immediately reported.
