There were no injuries stemming from the fire, which made its way into the rear wall of the home in the 400 block of Estelle Drive, but the Vandalia fire chief said the woman who lives there will have to find lodging elsewhere for tonight.

Crews were dispatched to the residence about 6:40 p.m. on a report of a structure fire.

The fire chief said there was minimal damage to the two-story home of wood and vinyl siding.

He estimated the dollar loss to the structure and contents at less than $5,000.
