Esther Price receives Mayor’s Preservation Award

Esther Price Candies has received the Mayor’s Preservation Award.

The City of Centerville and the Board of Architectural Review honored Esther Price Candies with the Award for Excellence in Stewardship.

The award recognizes those who have worked to ensure the ongoing preservation of designated Landmark properties or historic buildings in Uptown through proper long-term care, planning and management.

The Board members feel the design of Esther Price, 269 N. Main St., exemplifies the dedication to the spirit of the historical nature of the Architectural Preservation District.

Mayor Brooks Compton and Board of Architectural Review Chair Ed Ross presented Manager Ann Hadley with a plaque featuring the award and an artistic rendering of the Esther Price property.
