Fallen tree limb closes road in Greene County, DP&L called to the scene

UPDATE @ 7:47 p.m.:

Crews have cleared the large fallen tree limb from the road.

Firefighters on scene said they think the cause was weather related.

FIRST REPORT:

A large tree limb that had fallen on power lines has caused the 900 block of Spring Valley-Alpha Road to close in Spring Valley Township.

Spring Valley Township Fire Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol was on scene of the fallen tree Sunday around 6:30 p.m.

Crews could not work to remove the tree until DP&L arrived to shut off the power lines.

It’s not known if weather caused the tree limb to fall.
