Fatal vision goggles among activities at today’s ‘Drive Sober’ event

The Greene County Safe Communities Coalition will kickoff the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over event today in Beavercreek.

The event is set from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Greene Town Center, 4452 Buckeye Lane.

The event highlights the dangers of drugged- and alcohol-impaired driving through “fatal vision goggle activities and education,” according to a release.

The coalition is hosting the event in collaboration with AAA and local law enforcement.

Lt. Matt Schmenk, commander of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia Post, and Kara Hitchens, senior specialist with AAA Miami Valley will be on hand.
