Fire cadets accused of starting fires

NEW PARIS, Ohio -- Two fire cadets are behind bars charged with aggravated arson and other charges.

Joshua Glickman,18, is being held in Richmond while a 17-year-old is being held in Preble County.

Deputies say the two teens confessed to setting three fires. The most recent one was in May of this year.

The cadets are charged with arson, trespassing, breaking and entering, and tampering with evidence.

The cadets were ages 16 and 17 at the times of the fires.

They are accused of staring three fires:

• On Oct. 28, 2010, on the porch of a house at 1361/2 N. Washington St. in New Paris.

• On Nov. 12, 2010, at 301 W. Main St. in New Paris.

• On May 14, 2011, at 204 Whitewater Ave. in New Paris.

The fire investigations were done by the New Paris Police Department and the Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office.
