A man and his dog were rescued from the roof of a burning Philadelphia Drive home in Harrison Twp. Wednesday morning, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The man and dog were safely helped from the roof with the help of the Harrison Twp. Fire Department.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment for minor burns
Deputies responded to the 5700 block of Philadelphia Drive around 3:24 a.m.
Once on the scene, deputies could see smoke and flames coming from the back of the house.

It is not clear what caused the fire at this time.
The incident is under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
