First Financial donates $30,000 to Dayton coronavirus relief fund

First Financial Foundation donated $30,000 to The Dayton Foundation’s coronavirus relief fund as part of a $1 million pledge support communities impacted by the pandemic.

“Thanks to this generous gift from First Financial, we can provide more support for local nonprofits working at the front lines to meet emergency basic human needs in our community,” said Michael M. Parks, president of The Dayton Foundation. “While needs will undoubtedly continue to rise, I cannot thank First Financial enough for this gift.”

The company also announced its Hardship Relief Program, which helps consumers, small businesses and commercial clients struggling as a result of the pandemic. Consumers can request to defer payments on loans and credit cards, while businesses and commercial clients can ask to make interest-only payments or defer payments.

“First Financial is committed to helping those who are struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Archie Brown, president and CEO. “We are eager to support the outstanding community organizations and nonprofits in our area who are demonstrating tremendous resilience by delivering critical assistance during such a difficult time.”
