“The homeowner had woke up, smelled some smoke and went out and looked and saw that the garage was fully involved and called us out here,” she said.
Earlier it was reported that no one was home. There were no injuries, Brewer said.
“His garage is going to be a total loss,” the captain said. The estimated damage is not available because crews also need to assess the value of the two vehicles that were inside, she said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
“There was some minor exterior damage to the house,” but none to the inside of the home that was close to the garage, Brewer said.
Bellbrook firefighters also responded to the scene.

Flames are still showing from the detached garage, which Beavercreek Twp.
A car could be seen inside the burning garage as firefighters sprayed water to contain the fire and protect the nearby house, which did sustain minor damage, crews said.
No one was home at the time of the fire, according to a firefighter on scene.
We are on scene and are working to find what fire officials believe may have caused the fire, and the estimated damage.
FIRST REPORT
A detached garage crews said was very close to a house on North Fairfield Road, in the area of Jonathon Drive, was heavily damaged by fire.
Crews said they are going "defensive" in fighting the fire in the 800 block of North Fairfield Road. That means the structure will be allowed to burn and crews will keep the flames from spreading.
Crews were dispatched about 10:20 p.m. on a report of a structure fire. There are no reports of any injuries, but a medic has been dispatched as well.
