Forklift falls on man at Moraine business, police say

UPDATE @ 9:48 a.m.

The injured man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with “somewhat serious” injuries, but was alert when being taken by ambulance, said Jon Spencer, public information officer with the Moraine Police Division.

Spencer said he did not know if the injured man was an employee of the business where the accident occurred on Arbor Boulevard. He said two police units and an ambulance responded to the scene shortly after the accident was reported.

UPDATE @ 9:23 a.m.

A man was injured Monday after a forklift fell on his legs at Next Lift, Inc. on Arbor Boulevard around 8:30 a.m.

Police said the man was cleaning a forklift, while using another forklift to raise the piece of equipment up to allow him to clean the underside of the forklift.

While washing the forklift it fell onto his legs, police said.

Officers said the man was lucky his injuries were not more serious.

INITIAL REPORT:

An injury reportedly involving a forklift was reported this morning at a business on Arbor Boulevard.

Officers and medics responded to the incident in the 2200 block around 8:30 am.
