Road near Moraine Walmart reopens after forklift knocks down utility pole

UPDATE @ 8:50 a.m.: 

After a brief closure, Cardington Road near the Moraine Walmart has reopened after a forklift knocked down a utility pole.

The incident also caused some issues with 911 calls reaching Moraine police. However there is no outage because calls are being routed to another dispatch center.

FIRST REPORT

Police have blocked a portion of a road near the Moraine Walmart after a forklift knocked down a utility pole into the roadway.

The incident was reported on Cardington Road behind the Moraine Walmart around 7:50 a.m. Tuesday.

Police have blocked the road in both directions west of South Dixie Drive for repairs to be made to the pole and utility lines. It was not immediately known when the road might reopen.

No injuries have been reported.
