FRAM filters to expand Greenville facility

UPDATE @ 5:05 p.m.: FRAM Filtration has committed to a $5.4 million expansion at its Greenville manufacturing facility to add a fourth oil filter production line, bringing the plant's annual capacity to more than 100 million oil filters.

The 20,000-square-foot expansion revives an area of the plant that was previously idled “due to manufacturing consolidations,”plant manager John Staub said.

Staub said the state-of-the-art facility can produce more than 400 models of Fram’s latest generation oil filters.

“The plant itself will produce over 400,000 filters a day in total with a crew of 380 employees. We will manufacture over 100 million filters this year,” he said.
