Franklin man killed in Warren County crash

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a Franklin man was killed Sunday in a crash that happened in Warren County.

The crash happened near the intersection of Greentree Road and State Route 741. Troopers said 46-year-old Robert Bors of Franklin was killed when he ran off Route 741 and struck a utility pole.

Troopers said Bors was traveling south on Route 741 when, for some reason, he lost control of his silver Saturn and ran off the road, striking a utility pole. They said he was unconscious and breathing when firefighters arrived, but there was nothing they could do to save him.

Sgt. Tracy Callahan said, “The victim was trapped inside the vehicle. The fire department was using everything they had to extract him. Unfortunately, he passed away before they could get him out of the car.”

The Warren County Coroner’s Office and troopers spend most of the night collecting evidence and reconstructing the accident. They still said it is too early to tell exactly what caused Bors to run off the road.

The crash remains under investigation.
