EARLIER REPORT

Dayton is rallying around a well-known member of Dayton’s restaurant community.

Elisa Fenty, general manager of Table 33 in downtown Dayton, was injured June 25 in Cincinnati after attending Pride Weekend festivities there.

Fenty told this news organization that she was not sure if what happened to her was related to Pride, but did not think so.

She said she is thankful for those who have supported her during the ordeal.

“I can't express enough how thankful I am. It's mind-blowing how much love I've been shown,” she said via Facebook message, because it is difficult for her to talk.

She suffered serious jaw damage and liver damage.

Fenty said her oral surgeon told her that her mouth was healing well and a plan will be worked out for future care with a dental surgeon.

“I just had a CT angio to clear my internal injuries this morning and they said there's still a large part of my liver that's still not functioning,” she said.

From the GoFundMe page:

(Elisa) still has almost zero recollection or detail ... She was found on the floor in the parking garage her car was in, after surviving a assault and push resulting in a 15 foot fall. The assault is still under investigation, and authorities don't hold out much hope for apprehending whoever did this apart from the very limited footage they have.
She suffered from a jaw fractured twice, now held together with plates. She has around 9 broken and missing teeth. Her nose was broken (but not displaced, so it's just floating until it heals). The bones in her upper jaw/under her nose were fractured and She have various minor facial fractures, also an L1-L3 "transverse process" fracture (essentially a torque fracture that happens when your spine turns violently because of a fall). Her right lung was collapsed. She has a level 4 liver laceration as well as a renal laceration. The fluid buildup around her liver was so severe She required a chest tube, draining almost a half gallon of fluid over 3 days. ... She spent 4 days in surgical ICU and 4 more in a step-down unit. Elisa is home now, but her recovery will be long and difficult. Anyone who knows Elisa knows that she is the most kind and gentle soul you will ever meet , and she is always offering a hand to help. Now is the time that she needs help. Her medical and dental bills will extensive , any help you can give will be greatly appreciated

According to Sgt. Eric Franz with the Cincinnati Police Department, the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
