Gas prices dropping; Fairfield stations among lowest

Gas prices throughout the region are falling as the prices of oil continues to drop.

The state average price of gas today, June 17, is $3.55 per gallon, according to gasoline watchdog website CincyGasPrices.com.

The average national retail gasoline price is nearly $3.70 a gallon. The average national price was nearly $4 a gallon a month ago. The lower gasoline prices are due to the fact that there are currently no major refinery issues that would affect prices, according to Patrick DeHaan, senior Petroleum analyst at GasBuddy.com.

The lowest prices throughout the region are in Fairfield.

Dixie Deli, located on Ohio 4 near the intersection with Seward Road is selling gas for $3.39 per gallon, marking the lowest gas prices in the region, according to CincyGasPrices.com.

In Hamilton, the lowest gas price is at the Five Points Market on Grand Boulevard near the intersection with Tylersville Road. Gas there is $3.41 per gallon.

In Middletown, the Speedway on Oxford State Road has gas for $3.48, and in Warren County, the Marathon on Snider Road is selling gas for $3.53 per gallon — just less than the state average.
