Get free samples of new ‘spicy nuggets'

The Chick-fil-A fast-food restaurant chain has chosen the Cincinnati-Dayton market as one of four test markets nationwide for its new “Spicy Nuggets” and will offer area residents a free taste of the new product next week to those who register in advance.

The Atlanta-based chain that operates 1,500 restaurants in 38 states will offer the new Spicy nuggets for “a limited time” at 17 restaurants in the Cincinnati and Dayton area starting Oct. 4. The other test markets are Augusta, Ga.; Baltimore and Denver.

William F. “Woody” Faulk, Chick-fil-A vice president of brand strategy and desig, who oversees the chain’s menu strategy, said the Dayton-Cincinnati area “is an ideal market for us to test our Chick-fil-A Spicy Nuggets. This market has a very diverse customer base, which provides a great read on how this product will fare across a broad range of demographic targets. We also have a variety of restaurant concepts within this market which allow us to identify any operational challenges we may face serving the product at a mall, stand-alone or other type of restaurant location.”

Local residents can sign up at www.getspicynuggets.com by Friday, Sept. 25 to get a free, early sample of the spicy nuggets sometime between Sept. 27 and Oct. 2, according to Chick-fil-A officials. The Spicy Nuggets will sell for $3.05 for an 8-count and $4.49 for a 12-count order. Supplies are limited for the free-nuggets offer.

Chick-fil-A restaurants in Mason, West Chester Twp. and Springdale are participating along with seven other Cincinnati-area restaurants.
