Grand jury indicts 5 men on various sex charges

A Butler County grand jury has indicted five men on various sex charges, including rape and compelling prostitution.

Assistant Prosecutor Jennifer McElfresh said Michael Walton, 20, of Middletown, faces life in prison with parole eligibility after 20 years, if he is found guilty on two counts of raping a child twice in Middletown during the summer of 2011. He was also indicted for gross sexual imposition with a child under the age of 13 on June 30 and for assaulting a teenager on July 3. The second set of charges carry maximum penalties of five years and 180 days, respectively.

Paolo M. Reyes, 25, of Middletown, is looking at a possible 10-year prison term on two counts of compelling prostitution and four counts of illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material or performance. McElfresh said the compelling prostitution charges came out of Fairfield and Fairfield Twp.

“These involved solicitation of sexual acts of children for money,” she said. “These were for two different children.”

Three men were charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and contributing to the unruliness of a minor. Derrick R. Bradshaw, 28, of Fairfield and Joel Perez, 30, of Florence, Ky. both face possible 5 1/2-year prison terms because the children they allegedly had sex with were more than 10 years younger than they are.

Christopher Ward, 22, of Middletown faces two years in prison if he is found guilty of having sex with a minor in Middletown.
