Jason Lake was hired to fill the Xenia Assistant Finance Director position, according to information released by the city this week.
Lake has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from Wright State University.
Lake started working for the city in 2012 as an accounts receivable finance clerk assigned to the utility billing division. He was later moved to the income tax division in 2014. SHARAHN BOYKIN

County library board to meet
The Board of Trustees of the Greene County Public Library system will hold its next regular meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the Fairborn Community Library, 1 East Main St.
The Library Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month, except during the month of August when there is no meeting.

County historical society to host Underground Railroad presentation
The Greene County Ohio Historical Society will feature guest speaker Rick Sheridan, assistant professor of communications at Wilberforce University at its meeting Monday, Feb. 9.
Sheridan will share his family stories relating to one of his relatives, Levi Coffin, who was one of the leaders of the Underground Railroad.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the historical society, 74 W. Church St.

Senior WSU fine art students to host auction
Wright State University’s 2015 fine art seniors will host their annual silent auction on from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, in the Student Union Atrium.
It raises money for students’ April Senior Thesis Exhibition.
The auction will feature artwork from the seniors and local artists as well as gift baskets and tickets from local businesses.
