Its mission is to create a community of people who will proactively put love and light into the world.
The group raises funds for nonprofit organizations around the country that are dedicated to similar missions.
LovelighT’s Executive Director Betsy Westhafer says they’re keeping the name of the first grant recipient a secret until the presentation is made. Logan Turner’s parents, Mike and Kathy Turner, will be in town to personally present the oversized check.
Westhafer added that LovelighT received an anonymous donation of $4,000 this week from someone not connected to Logan.
Westhafer said she’s “blown away by the people in this LovelighT community.”
The money will allow the group to give out multiple grants to deserving non profits with missions similar to its own, Westhafer said.
