Gun-wielding man tries to rob Wendy's, takes manager's car

DAYTON — A man tried to hold up the Wendy's this morning at 2120 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd.

Police in Dayton say the the man approached a male manager and female employee while they were closing the restaurant.

According to WHIO-TV, the manager did not have access to the safe.  The hand-gun toting man took the manager’s keys and cell phone and sped way in the manager’s car.  Police are looking for a four-door 2003 black Buick Regal with license plate ESJ 1875.

Officers were still searching for the thief.

No one was injured.
